Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Keystone. In force since 23 September 2026.
1. This agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Keystone. By creating an account or using the product you accept them. “You” means the real estate agent, or the team of agents, who holds the account, acting for your own real estate business. If you create the account for a team, you are confirming you have authority to accept for it.
Keystone is currently offered only to real estate agents registered to trade in Ontario. Your brokerage is not a party to this agreement. Brokerages that want Keystone for a whole office can write to [email protected]; those accounts are offered under a separate agreement.
Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.
2. What Keystone is
Keystone is software for managing real estate contacts, messages, deals and paperwork, including an AI assistant that reads documents and drafts communications. It is a tool. It is not a brokerage, not a law firm, and not a party to any transaction you conduct with it.
We add and change features. We will not remove something you depend on without telling you first.
3. Your data is yours
Everything you put into Keystone — your contacts, your messages, your documents — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it. We use it only to provide the service to you, as set out in the Privacy Policy, and we do not use it to train AI models or to build anything for another customer.
You can ask for a copy of your data at any time, including after you cancel, by writing to [email protected].
4. What you are responsible for
This is the clause that matters most, so it is in plain words: everything Keystone sends goes out under your name, and you are responsible for it.
- You must have the right to contact the people whose details you load, and to send them what you send. Canada’s anti-spam legislation puts that obligation on you, not on us. Keystone records consent and blocks sends it can tell are not permitted, but it cannot know about a conversation you had in person.
- You are responsible for your professional and regulatory obligations — your real estate council or board, your brokerage’s rules, and the law that applies to your clients’ information. That includes the records your brokerage must keep: Keystone is not your brokerage’s record system, and the data export in Settings is how you take copies to wherever they need to be kept.
- You are responsible for your account: your sign-in, who you invite, and what they do. Tell us promptly if you think someone has got in who should not have.
- You must not use Keystone to send unlawful, misleading or harassing messages, to load lists you have no right to, or to break into or overload the service.
5. The AI assistant
Key drafts; you decide. Nothing it writes is sent to a client until a person has read it and pressed send. Dates and terms it reads out of a contract are a starting point for your own reading of the document, not a substitute for it.
AI output can be wrong, and can be confidently wrong. It is not legal, financial or tax advice. Before you rely on something it produced in a transaction, check it against the paper. You are responsible for anything you send or act on.
Fair use applies: the price assumes ordinary use by a working agent. If automated or extreme usage costs us materially more than the subscription, we will talk to you before doing anything about it.
6. What it costs
- $250 per month for the first user, and $99 per month for each additional user, in CAD.
- New accounts get a 3-day free trial. A payment method is collected when you sign up and the first charge is taken when the trial ends. Cancel before then and nothing is charged.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe; card details never reach us.
- Applicable taxes are added where required.
We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. A change never applies to a month you have already paid for.
7. Cancelling and ending
You can cancel at any time from the billing settings. Your account stays open until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed. We do not refund part-months, because you keep the service you paid for until it expires.
After cancellation we keep your data for 30 days so you can change your mind or ask for a copy, then delete it. Ask sooner and we will delete it sooner.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or that has not paid. Except where something urgent or unlawful is happening, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
8. Availability
We work to keep Keystone running and we monitor it continuously, but we do not promise a specific level of uptime. The service is provided as it is. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where we can.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Keystone is not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost opportunities or indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing in this agreement limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in it takes away consumer rights you have under Ontario or Canadian law.
10. Which law applies
This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use Keystone after that means you accept it. If you do not, cancel before the date and you will not be charged again. This version has been in force since 23 September 2026.
